This Thursday, 11/15 marks the official launch of the sustainable f/w 12 "John Bartlett. Collection".

This limited edition capsule collection is comprised of a hand-picked selection of John's favorite pieces from his fall 2012 NYFW presentation.  Using materials like organic cotton and recycled cotton/poly blends the collection is both sustainable, cool and modern - but incorporates John's love of classic American sportswear and all things masculine.

This collection embraces a more heroic sense of outdoor life, where the outdoorsmen do not simply consume or observe nature – they take action to defend it. The collection was the result of Bartlett’s Lexus/CFDA eco-fashion award, and in addition to drawing inspiration from exciting organic, recycled, and cruelty-free textiles, Bartlett drew upon many diverse works from “Lord of the Flies” to “The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou”.

According to the designer :

"I am especially excited about this launch! It communicates my commitment to an 'eco-luxe' design approach that marries compassion for the earth and animals with the signature sexiness of the JB man".
