Growing Cellulose "Leather"

A while back I reported on Fashion Futurist, Suzzane Lee, who has been using bacterial cultures in tea (kombucha) to grow a form of cellulose "leather". I came across this video that gives a much better visual representation of how the process works. So designers, get on top of this - shoes, bags, jackets... this is a whole new exciting, cruelty free, biodegradable, low-impact, and sustainable, organic "leather"!
